Warman is all grown up. Saturday the Town of Warman became the City of Warman. Mayor Sheryl Spence says the move has been under consideration for years, but it makes sense now, as the population pushes closer to 8 thousand residents. She says the move to city status carries some economic benefits, such as attracting new businesses. Spence also believes that cities could potentially have a louder voice on the provincial and federal level when it comes to trying to secure funding for projects and the like. The official 'city celebration' coincides with the grand opening of the new Legends Centre, which features a rink, fitness centre, soccer field, restaurants, and other amenities. Share: ![]() Tweet
