The United Way has raised 5 point 3 million dollars towards their goal of 6 point 7 million.

There are just a few weeks left until the campaign wraps up and Executive Director for the United Way, Sheri Benson says they are cautiously optimistic the goal will be reached.

The 6 point 7 million dollar goal is the most ambitious goal ever set by the organization.

Benson says it reflects the growth in the community and the challenges that growth can represent.

The money raised from the United Way Campaign stays in Saskatoon and area and is strategically invested into a diverse network of human services agencies. (sv nov 29-12)
