A provincial commission has issued its final report on how three new constituencies should be added to Saskatchewan.

Saskatoon is affected, with one seat being added, bringing the total  to 14 constituencies in the city.

One is also being added in Regina for a total of 12.

In each of the cities, one constituency is a hybrid mix of urban and adjacent rural areas.

One seat has also been added to rural Saskatchewan.

The commission says it made some changes to dividing lines between constituencies after an interim report in July, but it says those tweaks don't substantially alter what was proposed.

Some of the names proposed in the interim report have also been changed for example, Martensville becomes Martensville-Warman.

The redrawing of the ridings comes after Premier Brad Wall said last December that new constituencies are needed because the province's population is growing.
