Jason Spezza and John Tavares will lead a beefed-up Canada at the Spengler Cup over the Christmas holidays.

Hockey Canada has taken full advantage of the lockout, naming a number of pro players to its squad for this year's tournament.

Devan Dubnyk of the Edmonton Oilers and Stanley Cup champion Jonathan Bernier will be between the pipes.

The defense roster includes NHLers Jason Demers, Cam Barker, and Carlo Colaiacovo.

Up front, Matt Duchene, Tyler Seguin, Sam Gagner, Patrice Bergeron, Jason Williams, and 'Captain Canada' Ryan Smith are among the players named to the squad.

The team opens the tournament on Boxing Day against Germany.
