Saskatoon Police are asking the public for any information they may have in connection to an armed robbery of a drugstore early this morning where several employees and customers were in the store at the time.

Police say it happened shortly after 5:30 AM in the 24 hundred block of 22nd Street West when a suspect, wearing a mask, pulled out a shotgun that had been concealed in a satchel.

The suspect demanded money from the cashier but stole a video game console instead and reportedly fired a shot outside the store when he took off running away from the building.   There was three staff members including a 58 year old woman and two men aged 66 and 28 as well as five customers ranging in age from 14 to 20 years old.

The suspect is described as a medium built man, about 5 ‘10” and 180 pounds with a short brush cut hair style that recedes into a widow's peak.  He was last seen wearing a black jacket with a hood and clothing pulled over the lower half of his face to mask his appearance.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Saskatoon Police or Crimestoppers.
