The Saskatchewan Government and General Employees Union is hosting a rally today (Sat) in Regina.

It's to raise awareness and to discuss the contemplated changes to labour legislation in the province.

The Union says changes to annual vacations, the 40 hour work week, rest breaks, public statutory holidays, job protection for new parents and workers with disabilities are all on the table in the government's consultation paper.

A Queen City anti poverty advocate says restrictions on labour rights will further contribute to the increasing income disparity, which has grown dramatically in the province.
