SEIU-West members at three different Bentley retirement residences in the province have had their tentative collective agreement rejected.

The members who work at facilities in Saskatoon, Regina and Yorkton had concluded ten months of negotiations for their first Collective Agreements.

A tentative agreement was reached between the union and local employer representatives of Revera Retirement Genpar Inc. on June 22nd, and employees voted to ratify the agreement on July 13th.

However, the agreement was rejected by management in the employer's corporate head office in Mississauga, Ontario.

SEIU-West represents the workers at five of the seven Revera owned seniors' residences in Saskatchewan.

These are the first collective agreements for these three facilities, but two other facilities, Bentley Hillsdale in Regina and the Bentley in Moose Jaw, have existing collective agreements that will be up for negotiations later this year.
