The issue was supposed to be settled 2 weeks ago, and according to some landowners, 2 years ago, but the Lac La Peche road, northwest of Blaine Lake is still under water.
One business owner in the area, said he's had customers get out of their car and walk out through the water on the road ahead of the vehicle to see if they can drive through safely.
But, mostly, he says the road is impassable.
The Reeve of the RM of Leask says the council has been trying to negotiate with landowners to drain the basin the road goes through, but there's one holdout, so if council doesn't hear by this Wednesday, they may have to consider plan "b".
Plan "b" is draining the water through a natural route, but it, too, is complicated and involves a neighboring RM and going through land which has been seeded, which the Saskatchewan Watershed Authority usually won't get on board for.
