You couldn't tell by Tuesday's practice who will be the Saskatchewan Roughriders' starter at right guard on the offensive line when the Green and White visit the Edmonton Eskimos on Friday. First overall draft pick Ben Heenan has started every game, including pre-season, at the position while veteran Chris Best has been sidelined by a foot injury. Best suited up and played some in the Riders last outing, a 35-34 setback to Hamilton two weekends ago. Reports from today's workout said Heenan and Best split snaps with the first team offence. With the returns of Woodny Turenne and Terrell Maze at cornerback and Eddie Russ at halfback, Tristan Jackson will likely be the primary kick returner for the Green and White in Edmonton.
