The "Magic Number" is still one for the Saskatchewan Roughriders to clinch a berth in the C-F-L playoffs. The Green and White missed their first chance at that when they lost 37-20 Saturday in Edmonton. A Riders win or a Hamilton loss will assure Saskatchewan of no worse than a cross-over playoff spot and a place in the East semi-final against Toronto. Two wins or two Eskimo losses or a combination of both adding up to two will clinch a third place finish in the West for the Roughriders, sending them on to Calgary for the West semi-final. The Green and White will start their preparation week tomorrow as they host Montreal Sunday at 1:30 at Mosaic Stadium. During a media session in Regina today, head coach Corey Chamblin said defensive linemen Keith Shologan and Brent Hawkins will practice this week...and will play if they are able to. Punter Chris Milo has the walking boot off his sprained ankle, but won't suit up while linebacker Diamond Ferri was being evaluated this afternoon for an unspecified injury. Share: ![]() Tweet
