Rescue tools were needed to free a person from a vehicle after an early morning collision in Saskatoon.

Just after 3 A.M., the Saskatoon Fire Department were called to the intersection of Laurier Drive and Circle Drive where a half ton truck had t-boned an SUV on the driver's side.

The SUV was cut in several pieces with rescue tools to free the driver's legs.

The SUV driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries while the passenger of the truck was transported with minor injuries.

The truck driver suffered minor injuries but didn't need to go to the hospital.
