| Report on Losses of Public Money Tabled |

The province has released the report of losses of public money in Regional Health Authorities, the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, North Saskatchewan Laundry and Support Services. The report covers the period between April 1st and June 30th of 2012. The largest loss involves 9 thousand dollars in the Athabasca Health Region. The report says the employee used a corporate credit card for personal expenses to obtain an interest-free advance. The employee made some payments to repay a portion of the amount owing and their employment has been terminated. The Ministry is working with the organization to improve financial controls. 3 other reports of losses range from 16 hundred dollars to just about 38 hundred dollars and any staff known to be involved have been let go. One of the incidents of theft happened in the Saskatoon Health Region and a police report has been filed. Share: ![]() Tweet
