A standoff in east Regina has ended with suspects from a violent robbery in Fillmore still at large.

Police had evacuated the Coachman Inn on Victoria Avenue so they could look for suspects in a stabbing and robbery, but found no one.

Police spokesperson Elizabeth Popowich says it all started last night (Sun) in the Fillmore district.

Around 9, a 42 year old man was stabbed in an apparent robbery and police got information the suspects may be in the hotel in the Queen City.

One of the suspects from the robbery is in Police custody.

It's is believed that one or more people involved are still on the loose.
