An incident like the one at St. Walburg early this week has a ripple effect throughout communities.
And this one is no different.
RCMP met with family members of Darren, Hayley, and Cayden Wourms of both St. Walburg and Assiniboia today (Fri) and had a chance to brief them on the investigation to date.
RCMP are confirming now that Hayley and Cayden Wourms deaths have been classified as homicides and the death of Darren Wourms has been classified as a suicide.
It has been determined that the firearm seized from the scene was used in all 3 deaths.
The bodies of the three, who were originally from Saskatchewan, but now living in Airdrie, Alberta, were found in a ditch near St. Walburg, northeast of Lloydminster on Monday.
The family of Darren Wourms has said he was fighting depression.
