A 22-year-old man is facing charges for possession of stolen property under 5 thousand dollars after a vehicle was stolen early this morning (Mon).

Police say around quarter to 5, patrol officers spotted a stolen vehicle traveling westbound over the University Bridge.

After calling for back-up, police conducted, what they call, a high risk traffic stop in the 100 block of 23rd Street West.

A high risk traffic stop is a more cautious approach by police towards the suspect.

One man was taken into custody and charged.
