Draw one of the 37th annual Point Optical Curling Classic from the Nutana Curling Club is complete.

The scores include John Eppling over Pascal Hess 6 to 4, Robert Shelnder dominating Josh heidt 10 to 2, Brendan Botcher victorious over Sean Morris 6 -2, and Jeff Stoughton winning 6-3 over Steve Laycock.

Jim Cotter was also a winner beating Brady Scharback 7-1, Brock Virtue came up short against William Lyburn 8-7, Todd Birr won  6-5 over De Jia Zou, and Mike McEwen beat Tyler George 8-6.

Draw 2 begins at 5 to finish up today's (Fri) games.

A total of 32 top men's teams are taking part in the modified triple-knockout plus playoffs format.

A total of 50-thousand dollars is up for grabs with first prize at 12-thousand dollars.

The international field has draws at 2, 5 and 8 p.m.
