remembrance day service

The Royal Canadian Legion is working on building a "Virtual Wall of Honour and Remembrance".

The Virtual Wall will be displayed on large video screens prior to the start of the actual national ceremony on November 11th and those services thereafter.

In order to get the project going, the Legion is asking relatives and friends of those who have served in Canada to send in a photograph of the deceased veteran.

The photograph will not be returned, so the Legion is asking that originals not be sent.

So, once you've got a copy, send it to Dominion Command, along with the veterans name, years of service, element or force and regiment or unit to which the individual belonged.

Send it to, Dominion Command, 86 Aird Place, Ottawa, Ontario, K2L 0A1.

Any deceased veteran whose death is attributable to any cause, World War 2, Korea, peace support missions, Afghanistan, or accidental death in Canada, before or after they served will be honoured.
