|PET-CT Scanner for Saskatchewan|

Picture this: earlier diagnosis and faster treatment.
Picture this: not having to leave the province for a PET-CT scan.
The Royal University Hospital Foundation has launched its PICTURE THIS! Campaign, a fundraising effort to make those things a reality.
PotashCorp has already agreed to match the first million dollars in donations.
The scanner is typically used for testing former cancer patients to ensure they remain cancer-free, but the machine also has applications for both neurology and cardiac medicine.
The province has already committed 4 million dollars to the scanner.
R-U-H Foundation C-E-O Arla Gustafson says they need to raise 2 point 5 million, and hopes to have the money raised and the scanner in place some time in 2013.
She says some prep work is already underway at Royal University Hospital.
