12:42pm, March 10, 2011 The plan is to have all patients in Saskatchewan receiving surgery within 3 months by 2014. That's part of the Saskatchewan Surgical Initiative. In order to meet that objective the Parkland Health Region has set a target number for surgeries. Officials are hoping to go from a base of almost 52 hundred surgeries now to almost 61 hundred in the next 3 to 4 years. In order to do that, the Region will be focusing on the surgical stream, from the time a patient walks into their family physician to discharge and after surgery care planning. Share: ![]() Tweet
