Because of the upgrading work for the water system in Prince Albert, the plant will be shut down for about 12 hours tomorrow (thurs).

This is to allow for the tie-in of the supply line to the new clarification system at the Water Treatment Plant.

During the shutdown period, water will be provided to users by accessing water reserves from existing reservoirs.

A reminder, the Emergency Boil Water Order for the City of Prince Albert remains in place.

The Ministry of Environment is reviewing the system cleaning plan, and must give final approval before any step can be considered complete.

City Manager Robert Cotterill says they have been advised the Ministry will give their final word within the next few days.

Residents are urged to continue to follow the Boil Water Order's directions and to check the city's website for complete information and the progress being made.
