There's been a fatal accident on the 8th Street extension.

Saskatoon Fire was called out yesterday morning (Sun) to a single vehicle rollover past the railroad crossing and McOrmand Road on the 8th Street extension.

The vehicle was found on its side in knee deep water, and the 26 year old passenger has died as a result.

The driver of the vehicle, another 26 year old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Traffic has been blocked between the CP rail tracks and McOrmond Drive and will remain closed until the investigation is completed.
