North West Terminal is reporting a net profit of just under $3.2 million for the six month period ending April 30th. That's higher than the $2.1 million dollar profit reported during the same period in the 2010-2011 fiscal year. "A lot of the improvement was on the bio-products side where we have our ethanol plant," said Jason Skinner, North West Terminal Chief Executive Officer. "That plant had increased production and a little better margins than previous years, so that bumped up the financial results." North West Terminal is an independent farmer-shareholder owned company based at Unity.
