3 brand new city councillors, 7 returning councillors and a mayor were all sworn in last night (mon) in council chambers.

Darren Hill, Pat Lorje, Randy Donauer, Charlie Clark, Mairin Loewen, Tiffany Paulsen, and Ann Iwanchuk were the returnees on council while Zach Jeffries, Eric Olauson, and Troy Davies were in council chambers for the first time.

Mayor Don Atchison addressed the new council, talking about how he wants to see the remainder of their strategic plan implemented, and how he plans to move forward with all of his campaign promises.

Those are to fix the roads, build a north commuter bridge, increase housing, and stick to the city's strategic plan, which was developed through public consultation over his last term.

The first council meeting with the new group will be held on November 13th.
