An 18 year old man is in court in Saskatoon today after an assault with a weapon on the weekend. Police say, just before 8 last night (sun), they were called to the 17 hundred block of 20th Street West. A man and woman reported being approached by a man carrying a knife. He kept coming towards them until the male victim threw coffee at the suspect. Minutes later, police found a man matching the suspect's description and took him into custody. They also seized a knife. The 18 year old is facing numerous charge including Assault with a weapon. [gw july 23 2012]
