A proposal to begin design work on a whitewater park in Saskatoon has been included in the Capital Budget, but with stipulations.
The city is willing to step forward with 30-thousand dollars in 2008, only if the province also chips in.
The original proposal called for 150-thousand dollars, meaning other sources of funding will need to be found to cover the price tag.
Even if design work is done, City Manager Phil Richards isn't optimistic, saying there's no money for construction.
It's expected to cost 14-million dollars to build.
