City Councillor Gord Wyant is on his way back to Saskatoon after crashing his motorcycle in North Dakota over the weekend.

Wyant was driving through a valley when a gust of wind pushed him to the side of the road, where he hit a pothole and flipped onto the road. Aside from a dislocated elbow, sprained ankle and a few scrapes and bruises, he came out ok. He says the leather equipment and helmet he was wearing took the brunt of the impact.

Of his 36 years of experience riding motorcycles he says this is the first accident he's been in.

He says he wants to get back to work as soon as he can.
