The massive re-development of a multi-use facility in Kindersley is another step closer to completion.

The province is giving $3.4 million in infrastructure support for the $12 million phase one part of the project.

A fire in January 2010 destroyed the old Exhibition Stadium but since then, the events centre has been refurbished and a new hockey arena has been built to complete phase 1.

Phase 2 of the multi-use facility will include an indoor swimming pool, performing arts theatre, and gymnasium.

Ground is expected to break on phase 2 by fall of 2013.
