One of the most prominent 'naysayers' on the issue of climate change says the hundreds of millions of dollars that are being spent on carbon capture technology in Saskatchewan is largely a waste of money.

Dennis Avery of the Hudson Institute spoke in Regina last night [thurs].  He also says investments in wind power are of questionable value and points out that Denmark is a world leader in wind turbines and has decommissioned none of its fossil fuel capacity.

Avery was written several books in which he argues that there's no proof that global warming is actually taking place.   [ckrm mar 19 2010]

The truth is, fossil fuels will not be decomissioned until there is either political will to do so, or better yet financial benefit to do so. To me the benefit of windpower is that no matter how much inflation there is the wind will still cost $0. This is the reason the world is beginning to adopt windpower as a viable and cost effective method of producing power.

Can we all agree that it is simple economics to think that after 20 years of inflation fossil fuels will not be cost effective compared to free wind?

Climate Change is a liberal WMD scam. Pollution is real, global warming is not and WE the voters have the consensus that counts, not the dishonest "scientist" SAINTS you fools bow to, not to mention the fat American politician promising to lower the sea levels with taxes.
The sooner we as Canadians renounce the IPCC and arrest David Suzuki the better.
In case you are not getting the message doomers, in order for the CO2 theory to be real, one would have to alter the powers of the cosmos and five billion years of Nature's powers proves us deniers correct. CO2 cannot be both a life giver and taker.
