SPORTS SKED FOR THURSDAY, MARCH 11TH

The Western Hockey League is off today, going into the final 24 games of the regular season this weekend. The Saskatoon Blades and Prince Albert Raiders return to action tomorrow as they start a season-ending home-and-home series. Tomorrow's game starts at 7:05 p.m. at Credit Union Centre. The broadcast on 92-9, The Bull begins at 6:30 with the Cutting Edge pre-game show and the play-by-play at 7 p.m. The Blades have 45 wins, 18 losses and 7 extra time losses for 97 points...good for 3rd place in the Eastern Conference. The Raiders have 31 wins, 34 losses and 5 extra time losses for 67 points...tied for 9th place in the Eastern Conference. The return match to wrap up the regular season for both clubs is Saturday. Game time is 7 p.m. at Art Hauser Centre.

The Tim Horton's Brier, Canadian Men's Curling Championship, continues today and runs through Sunday in Halifax. A total of 12 provincial and territorial champions will take part in a round-robin plus Page Playoff format. Saskatchewan is represented by the Darrell McKee foursome from the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon. Saskatchewan has 4 wins, 5 losses...good for 7th place. On their schedule today...

The World Junior Curling Championships continue today and run through Sunday in Flims, Switzerland. Both the Junior Women and Junior Men play a 10-team round-robin plus playoffs format.
