Saskatchewan's Liberal Leader believes the provincial and federal governments should have waited.
Ryan Bater condemns the Wall government's decision to cut 5-point-2-million dollars in funding to the First Nations University of Canada.
The federal government announced today that it is also pulling its 7-point-3-million dollars in funding..
Bater says the timing of the provincial funding cut last week was insulting, because the decision was made behind closed doors before the students had a chance to meet with the FSIN.
Bater adds that he does believe in greater accountability for the university, but funding decisions should have waited until the two expected independent reports are released, both of which are due in a matter of weeks.
