A review of radiologist, Dr. Darius Tsatsi's patient exams has found ``significant variances'' that could affect patient care in 9 hundred and 46 cases.
That's according to the CEO of the Sunrise Health Region which encompasses the communities of Yorkton, Foam Lake, Melville, Preeceville, Kamsack and Ituna, among others in southeast Saskatchewan.
Joe Kirwan won't say how serious the implications are.
The finding comes after more than 39 thousand exams done by the radiologist, whom the College of Physicians and Surgeons have called not competent, were sent to an independent radiologist group in Edmonton to be re-read.
A total of 70 thousand exams, done by Tsatsi, are up for review.
