More than a dozen weather records fell yesterday in Saskatchewan as the mercury crested well into the double digits.

Saskatoon topped out at 14.8 degrees beating the old record set in 1976 of 12.8 degrees.  Moose Jaw was the hot spot in the province at 18.2 degrees and they also broke a 2004 record.  Regina hit 16.8 degrees beating their record set 30 years ago.

North Battleford, at 15.6 degrees, tied their 1976 record. Melfort's daytime high was 11.1 degrees which was the oldest record broken beating out the 10.6 degrees set in 1904.  And even further north in La Ronge where the temperature hit 8.4 degrees, it broke the record of 6.1 previously set in 1967.  (vmf Nov 18/09)
