The Canadian Football League playoffs are set to begin. The division semi-finals will be played Sunday:
East Division
B-C Lions at Hamilton Tiger Cats-Noon
(The winner visits the Montreal Alouettes on Sunday, November 22nd in the Eastern final)
West Division
Edmonton Eskimos at Calgary Stampeders-3:30 p.m.
(The game can be heard on CJWW, starting with a pre-game show at 2:30. The winner advances to the Western final on Sunday, November 22nd against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Game time is 3:30 p.m. at Mosaic Stadium. CJWW has the play-by-play of all Roughrider action this season. The broadcast starts at 2:30 with "Roughrider Warm-Up" and "Countdown to Kickoff" and includes the game at 3:30 plus the full "Fifth Quarter" post-game show and the "Roughrider Round-Table" call-in program. The Riders finished the regular season with a record of 10 wins, 7 losses, 1 tie for 21 points& good for 1st place in the West Division. The Grey Cup Game will be played Sunday, November 29th at McMahon Stadium in Calgary. Kick-off time is 5:30 p.m.)

The Canada West University Football Conference's championship final, for the Hardy Cup, will be played Saturday at 1 p.m. at Griffiths Stadium as the U of S Huskies host the Calgary Dinos. The winner earns a berth into the C-I-S national semi-finals on the road to the Vanier Cup.

The Western Hockey League is off today. The Saskatoon Blades return to action tomorrow when they visit Brandon. The broadcast on 92-9, The Bull begins at 7 p.m. with the Cutting Edge pre-game show and the play-by-play at 7:30. The Blades have 16 wins, 3 losses, 3 extra time losses for 35 points...good for 1st place in the Eastern Conference. Brandon has 12 wins, 8 losses, 2 extra time losses for 26 points...tied for 3rd place in the East. The Blades' next home game is Saturday against the Prince George Cougars. Game time is 7:05 p.m. at Credit Union Centre.
The Prince Albert Raiders return to action tomorrow when they host the Prince George Cougars. Game time is 7 p.m. at Art Hauser Centre. The Raiders have 10 wins, 10 losses, 2 extra time losses for 22 points...tied for 7th place in the Eastern Conference. Prince George 3 wins, 15 losses, 2 extra time losses for 8 points...good for 10th place in the Western Conference.

"The Road to the Roar" Pre-Olympic Trials Curling Event continues today and runs through Saturday in Prince George, B-C. A dozen women's and 12 men's teams are taking part in the modified triple-knockout format with four teams from each gender division advancing to "The Roar of the Rings" Olympic Trials in Edmonton next month. Among the 12 women's teams are those skipped by Sherry Anderson of Saskatoon, Amber Holland Michelle Englot...both of Regina. On the men's side, Joel Jordison of Moose Jaw and Pat Simmons of Davidson make up the Saskatchewan content. Draws today go at 8:30 a.m., 12:30, 4:30 and 8:30 p.m.
