Medical imaging staff are still rescheduling patient exams that were postponed due to the medical isotope shortage in the Saskatoon Health Region.

To date, there have been 3 hundred and 77 studies and exams postponed, but 2 hundred and 37 of them were rescheduled and are done.

For this week, there were 8 bone scans postponed, but that was not due to the isotope shortage, but because of some equipment maintenance that had to be done.

Last week the Region reported an increase in costs due to the isotope shortage around one hundred 15 thousand dollars and that included the extra time staff logged rescheduling patients.
