One of the best side effects of the boom in Saskatchewan is the improvement in our outlook in the province.
Saskatchewan led all the jurisdictions in Canada when it came to the investment climate, ranking first of all the provinces.
That's according to the Saskatchewan Check Up done by the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Also in the good news category, personal disposable income in Saskatchewan was triple the increase in the rest of Canada in 2008.
And, believe it or not, in 2008, Saskatchewan also posted the smallest increase in the cost of living with respect to shelter costs.
Now, the bad news, we have a high percentage of people aged 19 to 24 in the workforce who have not completed highschool and despite spending above the national average on health care in Saskatchewan, the delivery of it is ranked 9th out of ten.
