Saskatchewan Hosts Pacific Northwest Conference |

Saskatchewan will host a Pacific Northwest Economic Region Winter Conference this week in Regina.
The meeting will include business leaders from Canada and the US and will be held in Regina starting today. 150 legislators and business people will meet to discuss critical issues for the Pacific Northwest Region. Member states and provinces include Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories and the Yukon.
Among the keynote speakers will be Pemier Brad Wall, Canada's Ambassador to the US Gary Doer, in his first speaking engagement since being appointed to the position, US Consul Gneeral Laura Lochman, Vittera CEO Mayo Schmidt,and PCS CFO Wayne Brownlee.
The conference will have two components...a Legislative Assembly education workshop, as welll as an Economic Leadership Forum which will host discussions between leaders from Canada and the US on critical issues such as trade, energy, climate change and innovation.
