Whether you're looking for a family pet, or gift items for a pet or an animal lover, the Saskatoon SPCA is open for business.

The grand opening of the "Christmas Store for People and Pets" at the SPCA on Clarence Avenue South is Wednesday, November 4th.

SPCA Spokesperson, Tricia McAuley, says the 2010 SPCA Calendars are available, as well as their special Christmas stockings, and unique items for pampered pets and animal lovers on your gift list.

McAuley says they are also participating in the annual Iams Home 4 the Holidays pet adoption campaign, which runs through January 4th.

The goal is to adopt out 260 animals from the Saskatoon SPCA.

Worldwide, the goal is 1-point-5 million pets.

McAuley says their motto is "adopt, don't shop" when it comes to finding a pet for your family.
