The Saskatoon Blades have won back-to-back games for the first time this season, and find themselves in a three-way tie for first place in the W-H-L's East Division, following a 6-3 victory in Red Deer Friday night. Six different Blades scored goals on Saskatoon product and Rebels' goaltender Darcy Kuemper. The line of Gaelan Patterson, between captain Derek Hulak and Walker Wintoneak, combined for 10 points. Wintoneak had a goal and three assists while Patterson and Hulak each had a goal and two helpers. Burke Gallimore, Jyri Niemi and Sam Klassen also scored for the 4-2-2 Blades. Niemi's goal was the first power play goal on the road this season. It was also a victory for Steven Stanford in his Blades' debut in goal after being acquired Monday from Prince Albert. He wasn't very busy as Saskatoon out-shot Red Deer 41-17. The Blades visit Lethbridge Saturday with the broadcast on 92-9, The Bull beginning at 6:30 and the play-by-play at 7 p.m.
