A two year old bull from Parkside, SK did very well in Calgary last week. It was named the Reserve Grand Champion Black Angus Bull at the World Angus Forum. The event featured more than 1000 head of Angus at Spruce Meadows.
The owner is Kelly Feige with Double F Cattle Company. He purchased the animal from Eastondale Angus in Wawota, SK in April 2008.
The two year old competed against mature, yearling and bull calves to receive the honor. Feige is a veteran of the cattle show circuit . . . with both herefords and angus. He calls it the highlight of his career, saying "this will never happen in my lifetime again."
