A well-known journalist and political activist spoke out against the human rights commission in Saskatoon today.

Ezra Levant is best known for taking on the commission after reprinting a controversial cartoon depicting Muhammad. He says the commissions are a "kangaroo court", and are filled with corruption.

He offered two solutions to deal with the commissions, either the corruption needs to be weeded out, or the commissions all together.

He would prefer to see them gone. He says the things they were set up to deal with can be dealt with better in court.

Levant was speaking in Saskatoon, promoting his new book, Shake Down.
