The Saskatoon Blades bounced back with a strong 3-0 triumph over the visiting Medicine Hat Tigers last night. After failing to hold a 1-0 lead in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Swift Current, the Bridge City Bunch had netminder Braden Holtby make 24 saves for his fifth shutout of the season and sixth of his career, breaking a Blades' franchise record. Milan Kytnar scored twice while Stefan Elliott broke a 20-game goal-less drought with the third goal...plus assisting on both of Kytnar's tallies. Kytnar had two great opportunities for a third goal, but missed on a first period penalty shot and was stopped on a third period breakaway by rookie Medicine Hat goaltender Tyler Bunz. In all, the Blades out-shot the Tigers 35-24 and killed off all seven Medicine Hat power play chances while going two-for-six themselves with the man-power advantage. The game was delayed for about 15 minutes at the 7:50 mark of the first period after  Saskatoon defenceman Sam Klassen rocked Tristan King with a shoulder check that knocked the Tigers' forward unconscious for a moment and eventually taken off the ice on a stretcher and on to hospital. The 41-13-3-1 Blades' next game is Friday in Medicine Hat.
