The Canadian Football League is off until Friday when Week 16 of the season starts with B-C at Edmonton. The Saskatchewan Roughriders are idle until Sunday when they host the Hamilton Tiger Cats. Game time at Mosaic Stadium in Regina is 1 p.m. CJWW's broadcast, a part of the "The Roughrider Radio Network", starts at Noon with the "Roughrider Warm-Up", followed at 12:30 by "Countdown to Kick-off". The play-by-play starts at 1 p.m. with post-game coverage including the "Rider Round-Table" call-in show. The Riders have 9 wins, 6 losses for 18 points...tied for 2nd place in the West Division. Hamilton has 3 wins, 12 losses for 6 points...good for 4th place in the East Division. Tune in to CJWW following the 5 p.m. sports every weekday throughout the C-F-L season for a special "Rider Report" with Rod Pedersen, the "Voice of the Riders", on the Roughrider Radio Network.

The Prairie Football Conference is off until Sunday when its championship game is played at Gordie Howe Bowl in Saskatoon. The Hilltops host the Calgary Hitmen. Game time is 1 p.m. Because of the Riders' game at the same time, the broadcast will be aired on 92-9, The Bull...starting at 12:30 with the "Hilltops Huddle" pre-game show and the play-by-play at 1 p.m. The winner will host the Inter-Gold Cup, Canadian Junior Football League semi-final next weekend against the winner of the B-C-F-C.

The broadcast on 92-9, The Bull starts at 7 p.m. with the "Cutting Edge" pre-game show and the play-by-play at 7:30. The Blades have 7 wins, 4 losses for 14 points...good for 3rd place in the Eastern Conference. Swift Current has 8 wins, 2 losses for 16 points...good for 1st place in the East. The Blades' next home game is Wednesday, October 22nd against the Portland Winter Hawks. Game time is 7:05 p.m. at Credit Union Centre.
The Prince Albert Raiders return to action tomorrow when they visit the Kelowna Rockets. The Raiders have 6 wins, 5 losses for 12 points...tied for 4th place in the Eastern Conference. Kelowna has 5 wins, 5 losses for 10 points...good for 6th place in the Western Conference. P-A's next home game is Tuesday, October 21st against Portland. Game is 7:30 p.m. at Art Hauser Centre.
