Saskatoon will become?the only city to host the World Junior Hockey Championship twice.
In late December of 2009 and early January of 2010 Saskatoon and Regina will be home to the Christmas hockey tradition. Featuring 31 games and 10 competing nations.
The bid includes a $12.5 million profit guarntee for Hockey Canada. As well as a projected attendance of over 300,000, an economic impact of $25 million for the province, a unique community event called World Fest, $53 million in facility upgrades and a half-million dollar scholarship legacy fund for the Saskatchewan Hockey Association.
Organizers will now move from planning to doing as there are just 18 months until the Championship's first face-off.oem software
