The Canadian Cancer Society says Saskatchewan residents want restrictions on pesticide use and more protection from second hand smoke.
That's following a survey, done by Ipsos Reid for the Society, that shows nearly 7 out of ten Saskatchewan residents believe pesticides pose a threat to their health and would support a law phasing out the use of such chemicals used to keep lawns and gardens looking good.
The poll also showed the majority of residents want smoking banned on all health care property, around entrances and windows of public buildings and at outdoor stadiums and arenas.
The survey also showed 71 percent of the 9 hundred people asked support banning smoking in vehicles where children are present.
