Warman RCMP have received complaints involving the fraudulent sale of Saskatchewan Roughrider tickets on the website kijiji, which is a free classifieds website.

These occurrences appear to be what is known as Mass Marketing Fraud, in which the victim agrees to buy tickets, or any other product, from the seller.

The fraudster convinces the victim to electronically transfer money to them through internet e-mail transfer, Western Union, or Moneygram for example.

Though the payment is accepted by the fraudster, no tickets or merchandise are ever sent to the buyer.

RCMP would like to remind the public to use caution when completing online transactions of this nature.
