A big week started off with a major disappointment Wednesday night for the Saskatoon Blades. Nick Buonassisi and Macoy Erkamps scored 1:47 apart in the third period and Damien Ketlo withstood the Bridge City Bunch's repeated attempts to tie the score in a 3-2 Lethbridge Hurricanes' victory. Ketlo stopped 41 shots, including all 19 in the third period, in front of 7,204 fans at Credit Union Centre. The only two goals he allowed were by Ryan Olsen in the first period as the Blades scored first and led after 40 minutes...two areas that have usually resulted in victory. The 35-25-1 Blades have lost five of their last six games and host Kootenay Friday and Red Deer Saturday at home before playing seven of their final nine games on the road because of the Tim Horton's Brier. Saskatoon is sixth in the Eastern Conference standings, but only one point up on Regina and three ahead of Brandon.
