Police investigators are examining the possibility that medical issues played a role in a collision early this afternoon.

Police were called to a two vehicle collision today (Fri) on the University Bridge around twenty to one when a car collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.

Police say there was significant damage to both vehicles but injuries to the people involved was limited.

MD Ambulance attended and transported one of the drivers to hospital for further observation.

The scene of the accident has been cleared and traffic is no longer restricted.
