Four people have been killed in a crash Saturday afternoon, just south of Blaine Lake, in what RCMP are saying was a major collision.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor.

45 year old Curtis Lafond from Mont Nebo, 19 year old Brittany Omani from the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, 81 year old Lillian Arcand, also from the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, and 21 year old Amy Arcand from the Mitswasis First Nation were killed in the crash.

It happened at 1 thirty Saturday afternoon on Highway 12, at the Petrofka Bridge.

Blaine Lake RCMP say 3 vehicles were involved: a Honda Civic, Dodge Voyager van, and Pontiac Grand Prix.

3 others were taken to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon with non life threatening injuries.

RCMP continue to investigate.
