Another First Nation in Saskatchewan will be collecting their own version of the Goods and Services Tax.
The Nekaneet First Nation, in the southwest, will be charging the tax on supplies made on the land of the First nation.
The First Nation goods and services tax is fully harmonized with the federal goods and services tax and, where it applies, effectively replaces the GST.
The Whitecap Dakota First Nation, south of Saskatoon, also collects its own FNGST. (sv oct 12-12)
