The Saskatoon Police Service was called to an elementary school in the 300 block of Avenue O South this morning (Thurs). Shortly after 9AM, police responded to the school after receiving information that a student may have a firearm. Police spokesperson, Constable TishaRae Stonehouse says 9 officers attended as a precaution. After an initial investigation, no firearm was found. Throughout the day, officers remained behind to conduct a thorough investigation and verify what had occurred. Constable Stonehouse says the case is now closed. No weapon was found.
